Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR LOAN APPLICATION IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase, payment, application for or origination of a mortgage loan, or any other transaction will not increase an entrant’s chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law. This Sweepstakes is intended for entry by eligible individuals in the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia only, other than the excluded jurisdictions identified in Section 2 below, and shall not be construed to be an offer or solicitation in any other jurisdiction.

  1. Sponsor

This Sweepstakes is sponsored by SecurityNational Mortgage Company, 433 W. Ascension Way, Suite 400, Salt Lake City, Utah 84123 (“Sponsor”).

  1. Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry, EXCEPT that residents of New York and Massachusetts are NOT eligible to enter or win (“Excluded Jurisdictions”).

Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, and its parent company, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and each of their respective advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), and the immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, and siblings, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household (whether related or not) of each such employee, officer, and director, are not eligible to enter or win, regardless of state of residence.

This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Employees of Sponsor may not use their position to encourage or discourage entry, and no employee of Sponsor may condition, or appear to condition, entry or the outcome of the Sweepstakes on the application for, origination of, or referral of any mortgage loan or other financial product or service.

  1. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins on September 8, 2026 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on October 8, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will be void.

  1. How to Enter

During the Entry Period, Sponsor will send via digital platforms (email, social media, etc.) a link and/or QR code to certain of Sponsor’s existing contacts who have contact information (email address, social media handle, etc.) on file with Sponsor. To enter using this method, follow the link or scan the QR code to submit the requested information through the designated online entry form. Entrants may select or deselect a marketing-consent option directly on the entry form; entrants who decline consent will still be entered in the same drawing with equal odds of winning. Limit one (1) entry per person during the Entry Period, unless otherwise stated in supplemental promotional materials.

  1. Prize

One (1) winner will receive a cash prize of $5,000 USD (the “Prize”). Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the Prize, as described in Section 8. Prize is not transferable or assignable, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

  1. Odds and Winner Selection

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor, or an independent judging organization on Sponsor’s behalf, within fourteen (14) days after the close of the Entry Period (i.e., on or before October 22, 2026).

  1. Winner Notification

The potential winner will be notified by telephone, email, and/or United States Post using the contact information provided at the time of entry. The potential winner will be required to respond to the notification within ten (10) business days of the first notification attempt and, as a condition of receiving the Prize, may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and (where lawful) a Publicity Release, and to provide a completed Form W-9, within the time period specified by Sponsor. If a potential winner cannot be reached, fails to respond within the required time period, fails to return the required documents, is found ineligible, or if the Prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner will forfeit the Prize and Sponsor may select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries, time permitting.

  1. General Conditions
  • By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
  • Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate this Sweepstakes, or these Official Rules, if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes, subject to applicable state law.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, by entering, each entrant releases and agrees to hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation in this Sweepstakes or acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize.
  • Entry into, or eligibility to win, this Sweepstakes is not conditioned on the purchase or lease of any product or service, or on applying for, obtaining, or closing a mortgage loan or other credit product with Sponsor or any affiliate. No purchase or transaction of any kind, and no application for or origination of a loan, will be considered in determining eligibility to enter or win.
  • All federal, state, and local taxes associated with receipt or use of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to the winner (and file with the IRS) reflecting the fair market value of the Prize, as required by law.
  • This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except where prohibited by an entrant’s state of residence.
  • Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, or postage-due entries; for lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections; or for miscommunications, failed computer, telephone, or cable transmissions, or other errors of any kind.
  1. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes will be used by Sponsor in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Notice, available at https://snmc.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Privacy-Policy.pdf, and will be used solely to administer this Sweepstakes and, where separately authorized, for other purposes consistent with that Privacy Notice.

  1. Winner List and Rules Request

For the name of the winner (available after November 21, 2026) or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: SECURITYNATIONAL MORTGAGE COMPANY, ATTN: SWEEPSTAKES, 433 W. ASCENSION WAY, SUITE 400, SALT LAKE CITY, UT 84123. Requests must be received within six (6) months after the end of the Entry Period.

  1. State Registration Notices

This Sweepstakes has been registered with, or is being registered with, the applicable regulatory authorities in the states requiring registration and/or bonding of sweepstakes promotions. Residents of New York and Massachusetts are not eligible to enter or win.
